Living in Paris, Rue de Seine founder and designer Michele Corty was constantly inspired by the effortless style of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and its free-spirited residents. After designing and marrying the love of her life in her own gown on Rue de Seine — a street humming with creativity, artistic energy, and passion — Michele moved back to New Zealand and started the brand that would carry its name. Beginning with a small team of six in a shared studio space, Rue de Seine has grown into a global brand, bringing gowns from its Auckland atelier to over 80 retailers and countless real brides across the globe.
